GIRLS THRIVE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS Grades 9-12

 The Girls Thrive After School Program at the TCC InspireHER Center is a comprehensive 36-week program (two 18-week semesters running concurrent with the Lafayette Parish School Calendar) designed exclusively for high school girls. The program aims to foster leadership, personal growth, career readiness, and mental well-being through interactive weekly workshops. Each session is focused on equipping young women with essential life skills, self-confidence, and a strong sense of purpose as they prepare for the future.

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Arrival & Check-In

• Girls are welcomed at the TCC InspireHER Center, enjoy a meal/snacks, complete their homework and socialize with peers in a relaxed, safe environment.

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Mindful Moment and Workshop Session

• Guided mindfulness activity to help them de-stress and focus.
• Brief goal-setting session to outline personal goals for the workshop.
• Rotating weekly themes like leadership skills, personal development, life skills, health and nutrition, career readiness, artistic expression and mental wellness.
  • Example: A leadership session where girls practice public speaking and team-building exercises.

5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Wrap-Up & Reflection

• Group discussion to reflect on the day’s activities and share key takeaways.
• Girls set personal intentions for the week and receive encouragement from mentors and peers.

6:00 PM: Departure

• Girls are picked up, feeling motivated and supported.

The Girls Thrive After School Program membership, priced at $120 per month, includes access to a wide range of resources, activities, and support designed to foster personal growth, leadership, and life skills for high school girls. Here’s what’s included:          

• Weekly Workshops
  Interactive sessions focused on leadership development, life skill education, career readiness, personal growth, health and nutrition, artistic expression, and mental wellness.

• Mentorship
  One-on-one and group mentorship with experienced women mentors, providing guidance and support.

• Career Readiness Training
  Hands-on activities such as resume building, interview practice, and career exploration to prepare girls for future opportunities.

• Health & Wellness Education
  Workshops on physical, mental, and emotional well-being to promote a balanced lifestyle.

• Exclusive Events
  Access to special events, networking opportunities, and guest speakers who share insights from various industries and fields.

• Transportation
  We are committed to ensuring accessibility for all participants of the InspireHER Center. While we are actively working on providing transportation options, participants are currently required to arrange their own transportation. Drop-off is available between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM, and participants should be picked up by 6:15 PM. 

• Snacks & Social Time
  A meal/snacks provided daily, along with social time to foster friendships and peer connections in a safe, supportive space.

Through this membership, girls gain access to tools, resources, and experiences that build self-confidence and prepare them for success in high school and beyond.

To join the Girls Thrive After School Program, participants must meet the following requirements and complete the application process. This program follows the Lafayette Parish School Board calendar, ensuring alignment with school breaks and holidays, but is open to girls from all school districts/homeschools that would like to attend. 

• Age & Grade Level
  Must be a high school student, in grades 9-12.

• Application Submission
  Complete an application form, which provides us with information on the participant’s interests, goals, and background.

• Interview
  Participate in a brief interview, either in person or via video conference, to discuss the program’s goals and ensure a good fit.

• Parental/Guardian Consent
  Signed consent from a parent or guardian for participation, including authorization for transportation if needed.

• Commitment to Program Duration ( 18 week Semester)
  Willingness to participate in the full 18-week semester program, which follows the Lafayette Parish School Board calendar, to maintain consistency with school schedules. Girls can attend up to 2 semesters or one full school year at this time. (Limited Spaces Available)

• Attendance & Participation
  Commitment to regular attendance and active participation in workshops, activities, and events.

• Code of Conduct Agreement
  Agreement to uphold the program's code of conduct, promoting respect, inclusivity, and a positive attitude.

• Monthly Membership Fee
  $120 monthly fee (Financial asisstance may be available through sponsorships. It can be requested during the application process)

This application process ensures that participants are prepared and dedicated to engaging fully in the program's opportunities, aligned with the local school calendar.

Yes, we will host both school break and Summer Programming for High School Girls!  

• Fee: $75.00 per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Days may vary depending on Holidays/No Sessions on New Years Day, Mardi Gras Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)

Daily Schedule Example:

• 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Arrival, Check-In, and Morning Warm-Up
  • Light breakfast snacks and an icebreaker activity to start the day.
• 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Workshop Session 1
  • Focus on life skills, leadership, or creative projects, with rotating daily themes.
• 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Snack & Social Break
• 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Workshop Session 2
  • Hands-on activities such as STEM projects, wellness exercises, or career exploration.
• 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Group Activity & Reflection
  • Team-building games, discussions, and wrap-up reflections.

• Fee: $150.00 per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Days may vary depending on Holidays/No Sessions on New Years Day, Mardi Gras Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)

Financial assistance may be available through sponsorships, ensuring that all girls have the opportunity to benefit from the enriching school break and summer programs.
