Girls Thrive After School Enrichment and Mentoring Program

Welcome to the Girls Thrive Afterschool Enrichment and Mentoring Program!

 At the Girls Thrive Afterschool Enrichment and Mentoring Program, we empower young girls to develop the skills, confidence, and leadership abilities they need to thrive both in school and life. Our diverse range of programs is designed to support girls ages 8-18 in their personal growth, academic success, and overall well-being. We offer a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where girls can learn, connect, and build lifelong friendships. All programs are 18 weeks long, broken into 6-week sessions.  

Spring 2025 Programming:

1. Thrive Tribe Chats

(Session 1 Mondays January 27, 2025- March 10, 2025 

(Off March 3, 2025 for Mardi Gras)

Middle School 4:00PM- 5:15PM/ High School 5:30PM- 6:45PM)

For Middle School and High School Girls (Separate Sessions) 

(10 spots available for Middle School/10 spots for High School)


Thrive Tribe Chats is a safe, supportive space where girls can connect with one another, share experiences, and discuss important topics. 

Led by a counselor or life coach, these small group discussions promote healthy communication, mental wellness, and self-esteem, fostering a community of support among peers.


  • Topics Include: Friendship, social media, body image, self-esteem, stress management, bullying, life balance, and more!
  • Program Length: Three 6-week sessions
  • Cost: $100 per 6-week session
  • Drop-in rate: $20 per class
  • Payment Options: Participants can choose to pay per drop-in session, but they must register and pay in advance for each date on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, you can secure a spot by paying for the full 6-week session upfront. Discounted rates are available for those who pay for multiple sessions in advance.

2. Next Level Living: Preparing for Independence

(Session 1 Tuesdays starting January 28, 2025- March 11, 2025 

(Off March 4, 2025 for Mardi Gras)

Middle School 4:30PM-5:30PM /High School 5:45PM- 6:45PM) 

For Middle and High School Girls (10 spots available for Middle School/10 spots for High School)

In Next Level Living/Life 101, we provide essential life skills that prepare girls for a successful and independent future. From managing time, finances, and relationships to cooking, cleaning, and self-care, this program helps girls build confidence and develop practical skills they can use every day.


  • Topics Include: Time management, cooking basics, laundry, budgeting, personal hygiene, and basic home maintenance.
  • Program Length: Three 6-week sessions
  • Cost: $100 per 6-week session
  • Drop-in rate: $20 per class
  • Payment Options: Participants can choose to pay per drop-in session, but they must register and pay in advance for each date on a first-come, first-served basis. 3. Girlpreneur: Empowering the Future of Female Entrepreneurs 

(Session 1 Wednesdays at 5:00PM- 6:30pm beginning January 29, 2025- March 5 , 2025) 

For High School Girls (10 spots available)

In Girlpreneur, girls will learn the foundations of entrepreneurship and business management. This program helps students explore their creative ideas, develop business plans, and gain skills they can use to start their own ventures.


  • Topics Include: Business planning, marketing, leadership, financial literacy, and communication.
  • Program Length: Three 6-week sessions
  • Cost: $120 per 6-week session
  • Drop-in rate: $25 per class
  • Payment Options: Participants can choose to pay per drop-in session, but they must register and pay in advance for each date on a first-come, first-served basis. 4. Adulting Academy

The Adulting Academy is designed to help young adults navigate the transition from high school to the real world with confidence and practical skills. Our program focuses on developing essential life skills that promote personal growth, financial independence, career success, and emotional well-being. Whether it's learning how to manage finances, handle relationships, or cultivate a growth mindset, Adulting Academy provides the tools to thrive in the real world. Join us and take the next step toward becoming the best version of yourself!


  • Topics Include: Personal development, time/stress management, goal setting, career readiness
  • Program Length: Three 6-week sessions
  • Cost: $100 per 6-week session
  • Drop-in rate: $20 per class

5. HealthyHER: Nutrition & Fitness for Life

For Middle and High School Girls (10 spots available for Middle School/10 spots for High School)


HealthyHER focuses on holistic health by educating girls about nutrition, fitness, and wellness. This program teaches them how to make healthier food choices, stay active, and cultivate mental well-being through physical activity.


  • Topics Include: Healthy eating habits, meal planning, fitness routines, mindfulness, hydration, and stress management.
  • Program Length: Three 6-week sessions
  • Cost: $100 per 6-week session
  • Drop-in rate: $20 per class
  • Payment Options: Participants can choose to pay per drop-in session, but they must register and pay in advance for each date on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, you can secure a spot by paying for the full 6-week session upfront. Discounted rates are available for those who pay for multiple sessions in advance.


6. HealthyHER for Younger Girls: Building Healthy Habits Early

(Session Dates will be Announced)

For Elementary and Middle School Girls (10 spots available for Elementary School/10 spots for Middle School)


This HealthyHER program is designed for younger girls, focusing on nutrition, exercise, and body positivity. Girls will learn how to create healthy habits that support their growing bodies and minds.


  • Topics Include: Balanced eating, fun fitness activities, building body confidence, and emotional wellness.
  • Program Length: Three 6-week sessions
  • Cost: $100 per 6-week session
  • Drop-in rate: $20 per class
  • Payment Options: Participants can choose to pay per drop-in session, but they must register and pay in advance for each date on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, you can secure a spot by paying for the full 6-week session upfront. Discounted rates are available for those who pay for multiple sessions in advance.

What are the requirements for the high school girls to attend the program?

To join the Girls Thrive After School Enrichment and Mentoring Program, participants must meet the following requirements and complete the application process. 


  • Age & Grade Level
    Girls must fall within the specified age range for the program (e.g., ages 8-18). 


  • Registration/Application Submission
    Completion of the program registration/application form and any required documentation by the given deadline, which provides us with information on the participant’s interests, goals, and background.


  • Parental/Guardian Consent
    Signed consent from a parent or guardian for participation, including authorization for transportation if needed.


  • Commitment to Program Duration (6-week sessions)
    Girls must agree to actively participate and follow any rules or guidelines set by the program. (Limited Spaces Available)


  • Attendance & Participation
    Commitment to regular attendance and active participation in workshops, activities, and events.


  • Code of Conduct Agreement
    Agreement to uphold the program's code of conduct, promoting respect, inclusivity, and a positive attitude.


  • Transportation
    Participants are responsible for their own transportation.


  • Payments
    Payment must be made in advance, either for individual sessions (drop-ins) or for the entire program/session duration. Discounted rates are available for those who pay for multiple sessions in advance. Sponsorships may be available should funds be secured.
